Let me tell you a story about a little girl I know and her journey to become a mom.
When my daughters were little and I had been a single mom for about four years at that time, I was desperately trying to get them out the door on time for school and work. To squash their questions of why, I replied, “Because it’s in The Mom Handbook. You’ll learn the secrets about life and all the tricks about being a mom. Someday I will show you.” So with my unplanned and fumbled words on a not very caffeinated morning, I secretly committed to write them a book about life, faith, courage, and motherhood. My plan was to give it to them by the time my eldest graduated high school. I’m a little ahead of schedule, and while pieces were written over the past eight years, this book was written in six and a half weeks.
Sometimes in life, we have to be brave enough to rewrite our story and create our own happy endings. I’m excited to finally be able to give this special gift to my daughters, and share this with you too.
I hope this book speaks to both parents and young adults, and reminds us all about the power of love.
I’d appreciate a review on Amazon.
Happy reading!
If a book was a song…
I’m With You by Goodnight Suzie perfectly captures the essence of this story.
